Gradient Art

Gradient nails are the prettiest trend for spring. You gotta grab two of your favorite nail polish colors and combine them. It is important to know which color to use or your nails will end up looking dull. Gradient art is similar to ombre nail art. It’s just that the shades are different in this nail art. You can use a different technique to create a beautiful gradient art.

How to Do Gradient Arts on your nails?

First of all, you need to clip your nails using nail clippers. Use a nail file to shape them and get rid of the dirt on your nails. You gotta pick two different color nail polish that goes well when mixed together. Apply the base coat and let it dry completely before moving on. Now, paint a generous amount of the colors right next to each other on to the plastic just touching at the edges. Use a stick or think brush to mix the color where they meet. Mix a bigger section of the colors if you want bigger length. Try testing the colors on a piece of paper first.

Avoid using contrasting colors, they will end up looking like a mess when blended together. Paint your nails using the lightest of the two colors and let it dry completely. Now, take a sponge and dab it directly down on to the polish a few times and then directly on to your nail. You can repeat this step but make sure each layer is completely dry before sponging again or it may ruin the whole thing. Apply the top coat while the gradient is still wet. It helps the colors to blend together. You’ll have to extend the top coat over the top edge of your nail. Finish up by cleaning all the excess using a brush dipped in polish remover.
